So many people are feeling significant stress these days – their working hard, and working hard on staying focused and determined.
When talking about mindfulness or other reflective practices, the response is – that is nice but there is no time. I’d invite you to consider not compartmentalizing what you need to do for work and what you need to do for yourself- but rather recognize the fluidity between the two.
In future posts, I’ll be sharing from the fields of positive and systems psychology and guided visualization to help support your efforts.
In the meantime, here is a relaxing guided visualization… spend a few minutes and rejuvenate with: peaceful_perspective bella naparstak
Side note: one of the best, on-screen examples of guided visualization is by Jack Nicholson in Something’s Gotta Give. In 3 movie minutes, he changed from feeling like he was having a heart attack (panic attack) to using his voice and taking us on his journey to a nice warm sandy beach, with a cigar, and seagulls….. catch it if you can.
